Our Chapters, together with our lead sponsor Aviva Canada, keep Canada's kids safe, protecting what matters most.
At the heart of ThinkFirst Canada are our 19 Chapters that stretch across the country from Vancouver to St. John's. These Chapters are managed by volunteer neurosurgeons, neuroscience nurses and other healthcare and teaching professionals. Our Chapters spread ThinkFirst's injury prevention message through school and community presentations with the help of their VIPs (Voices for Injury Prevention), a dedicated group of injury survivors who share their own powerful story.
Our Chapters are very involved in their local communities, promoting the ThinkFirst prevention message through innovative and engaging educational programs.
ThinkFirst programs that have been implemented nationwide include:
Additionally, our Chapters have been pivotal in furthering injury prevention initiatives. They advocate for local helmet legislation, conduct injury prevention research, advise ThinkFirst Canada on program development, and sit on local injury prevention advisory groups for their Provincial Ministries.
With the generous support of Aviva Canada, our Chapters continue to grow and thrive across Canada!
